Google releases its new smartphones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. When buying a phone, we always consider the price; it is inevitable to discuss the cost when purchasing a gadget. We all know that the important differentiator between the Apple and Samsung flagships in the world is the price of their devices. The price for the Google Pixel 7 starts at $599, and for the Pixel 7 pro, it starts at $899.
The year 2021 was a huge leap for Google, but the Pixel 7 is a small jump over the Pixel 6. The 7 and 7 Pro unveiled with Tensor G2 and camera improvements. Both models have a 50-megapixel wide-angle main and 12-megapixel ultrawide, while the Pro adds a 48-megapixel telephoto.
The Pixel 7 is cheaper than the Pro model and smaller too.
Google kept the RAM at 8Gb, and you can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage.
The Pixel 7 has a 6.3″ display and has physical dimensions of 155.6 x 73.2 x 8.7mm and 197g. Compared to Galaxy S22 and iPhone 14, this one is medium-sized.
The display is a flat AMOLED panel with FHD+ resolution, but it has 25% higher peak brightness than the Pixel 6 display. This new panel still has only a 90Hz refresh rate.
Like the Pixel 7 Pro. Pixel 7 uses a 50MP primary camera (1/1.31″). A 12MP ultra-wide camera joins it. The phone relies on the high-resolution main sensor and Google’s Super Res Zoom image processing for zooming in.
The camera’s selfie has a higher resolution sensor, 10.8MP, and a wider field of view.
The Pixel 7 Pro is the best phone from Google for the next 12 months or so. It has a sharp, fresh high display, a big camera sensor, a wide/utra wide/tele lens combo, a distinctive look, security features, and promises of extended software support.
The Photo Unblur feature is exclusively available in Pixel 7 and 7 Pro- it uses Google’s advance AI to remove blur and noise from old photos taken years ago with any old phone.
The primary camera has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and electronic stabilization. It can record 4k videos at 30fps and 60fps. The “speech enhancement” feature can also be enabled in 45/60fps mode. The phone can record 10-bit HDR video, and Google has partnered with the makers of apps like Snapchat and Tiktok to allow higher quality videos for them. The camera app leverages the Tensor G2 chip chipset’s machine-learning skills to create cinematic blur further and stabilize handheld footage.
The telephoto camera has a longer lens with 5x optical magnification, up from 4x. The extra reach comes at the cost of a slightly smaller sensor, but it still has 48MP resolution, allowing it to zoom in further digitally with some special Pixel magic.
The phone has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone’s metal chassis is made of 100% recycled aluminum.
